Susie Gayton

Susie Gayton, 64, of Cartersville, GA passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Susie was born on September 25, 1960, to the late Betty Lumpkin. She is also preceded in death by her siblings, Donny and Benny Gayton, and Birdy Harden.

Susie was known for her cooking and her loving heart. She had a tremendous talent for sewing. Susie's unselfishness knew no bounds and she opened her home to anyone. She loved shopping at thrift stores and had a passion for gardening and canning the fruits of her labor. She was admired for unwavering faith.

Survivors include her husband, Fred Tellup; sons, Dewayne Gayton, Jeffrey Gayton, Derrick Bell (Angela), Brandon Prather (Angie), Joshua Beasley; daughters, Misty Bell, Stephanie Yother, Crystal Bell (Waylon), Charlie Bell; 32 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren; her sisters, Debby Baynard, Betty Patterson, and Bonnie Ingles; her brothers, Billy Gayton, Bobby Gayton, Barry Gayton, and Gary Gayton.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, in the Jennings Funeral Home chapel with Reverend Donna McDowell and Reverend Josh James officiating. Burial will be at Euharlee Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 on Tuesday, October 29, 2024.

Serving as pallbearers are Danny Murphy, Fred Tellup, Jeff Duncan, Robert Jett, Brandon Prather, and Tyler Carden.
