Tamra Smith

Tamra Marie Smith, 59, of Cartersville passed away on Monday, November 2, 2020 at Assured Hospice in Cartersville.

Born on January 22, 1961, in Rome she was the daughter of Hugh Wilson and Marie Rogers Wilson.

Tamra was an educator and taught in the Bartow County School System for twenty-seven years. She always wanted to be a teacher and she rocked it! She loved her job and her "babies" were her passion. Tamra was a wonderful mother. She loved with all of her heart, her daughter, her students and her dogs, Paisley and Nala.

In addition to her parents, survivors include her husband, David Smith; her daughter, Aubree Smith; her brother, Chris Wilson (Jaime); her niece, Maegan Wilson; her great-niece who Tamra loved dearly, Tinsleigh Hart; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 6, 2020 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Sammy Burgess officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
on Friday prior to the service.
