Tayler "Tay Tay" Chance Broadnax

Tayler "Tay Tay" Chance Broadnax, 30, of Cartersville, Georgia passed away on Monday, February 24, 2025. Born on March 22, 1994, in Jasper, Georgia, he was the son of Deidre Broadnax and Ben Rakestraw. Tayler is preceded in death by his brother, Aaron Lee Broadnax; and great grandparents, Mary Smith (Jack) and Betty Hutson and Paul Rakestraw.
Tay Tay loved spending time with his family and kids. He was a member of Corinth Baptist Church and had a lot of good friends, including his church family. He was an avid gamer and football fan of the Patriots and enjoyed cooking meals for his friends and family. Tay Tay also had a great sense of humor. He lit up the room and made everyone laugh.
Following with his parents, survivors include his children, Landon and Nora Leigh Broadnax; sister, Nikki Cooney; brother, Gage Broadnax; sister, Rebecca Rakestraw; brother, Kasey Rakestraw; niece, Peyton Cooney; nephew, Kyler Broadnax; grandmother, Mary Vaughn; grandmother, Sherry Rakestraw; aunt, Lori Weatherford; aunt, Melissa Rakestraw; and uncle, Matt Rakestraw.
Tayler's family and church family will be having a memorial service at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at Corinth Baptist Church with Pastor Keith Harper officiating. All family and friends are welcome to share stories they have of Tay Tay during the service.
