Ted Glass

Mr. Ted Phillip Glass, 72, of Rydal died peacefully Wednesday, April 24, 2019 in hospice care.

Born in Covington, Tennessee on December 29, 1946 he was the son of the late Carroll Newton Glass and the late Lois Vera Lee Waits Glass. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Benny Glass.

Mr. Glass was a graduate of Byars Hall High School in Covington, Tennessee and later he moved to Cartersville as a welder and began his own roofing business. He was a member of the Bread of Life church and was also active in the Masons and Shriners. Mr. Glass loved working on his farm and will be remembered for his great sense of humor and how he enjoyed picking on his grandchildren. He as a devoted and loving husband of thirty-eight years to his wife and cherished his time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Sue W. Glass; his daughters and sons-in-law, Angie Holbrook (Donnie), and Lynn Woods (Marshall); his son, Shane Glass; his grandchildren, Trey Woods (Anna), Aaron Woods, Parker Woods, Hunter Holbrook, and Erica Sanders (Tyler); his siblings, Mary Haag, Richard Glass, June Gross, Larry Glass, Jimmy Glass, Steve Glass, Karen Griffen, and Tim Glass.

Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 28, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Max Maybern officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. – 3:30 p.m. on Sunday prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Trey Woods, Aaron Woods, Parker Woods, Donnie Holbrook, Mark Lee, and Marshall Woods.
