Terry Holmes

Terry Lamar Holmes, age 63, lost his battle with cancer and sadly passed away on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, in Cartersville, Georgia.
Terry was born in Cartersville, Georgia to the late William and Betty Holmes.
He is survived by his children Shannon Holmes (Leigh Ann) of Fairmount Ga, Andrea Pippinger (Derek) of Trumann AR, Kari Ellis (Jerimy) of Oxford NC and Tory Holmes (Autumn) of White Ga; his grandchildren Zachary Craig, Zoey Craig, Jay Pippinger, Ella Pippinger, Jace Pippinger, Jacob Holmes, Jhonathon Holmes, Heidi Smith, Kirsten Ellis, Ethan Ellis, Zachary Ellis, Noah Hood, Eli Hood, Anthony Holmes, Blaiklee Holmes.
Terry also leaves behind three brothers. Mitchell Morris, Allen Harris, and Michael Morris.
Terry Holmes was a proud veteran of the Army in which he serviced from 1979 – 1985. He was employed at Prime Foods, Inc. for over 20 years. .
Terry had many hobbies which included sitting by a fire, playing the guitar, and hanging out with his best friend John Dunagan. You could always find the Georgia Bulldogs, Atlanta Braves or Nascar on TV at his house. Terry had an open-door policy if you needed it and he had it, it was yours.
The family would like to thank everyone that helped with the end of life for Terry. We know he appreciated all that was done.
