Terry Sutton

Terry Sutton, age 69, passed away peacefully, Saturday, August 22, 2020 at WellStar Kennestone Hospital.
He is preceded in death by his parents, J.W. "Bill" and Virginia Greene Sutton; his grandparents, Ashley and Stacy Maddron Sutton, Sam Greene and Belle Greene. Also, many special aunts and uncles that were very special to Terry.
Terry is survived by his wife, Sandy Johnson Sutton; their children, son Ashley and Robin Sullivan Sutton of Lynchburg, Virginia, along with their two daughters, Saige and Kyah Sutton. Son, Josh and Rachael Moore Sutton of Calhoun, Georgia and their three children, Riley, Carter, and Sylvie Sutton. A very special son and daughter, Derek Hicks of Sherman, Texas, and Chloe Moser of Crestview, Florida. Also, their best friend, Tankster Sutton, who misses you desperately. His brother Steven and Linda Sutton and their children, Mandy Sexton Sutton and Chloe Sutton of Cartersville, Georgia, along with brother-in-law Bo and Ginger Johnson of Adairsville, Georgia, sisters-in-law, Arinda and Mike Meeks of Auburn, Georgia, Pam Lee of Cartersville, Georgia, Marsha and Jeff Morris of Smyrna, Georgia, as well as a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
Terry retired from WellStar Kennestone after 29 years of service. He was a Materials Movement supervisor. During his lifetime he enjoyed being with his grandchildren, cooking on his grill for anyone and everyone who may drop by. He loved having a fire in his favorite spot in the backyard circle while listening to a genre of music. Anyone who knew Terry also knew that he was accomplished musician, which was his passion. Music and family everything to Terry and he was loved by friends, and Tank… He will be missed.
Serving as pallbearers are Mike Burnett, Jeff Burnett, Zac Lipscomb, Chuck Ross, Clay Smalley, and Joe Strickland. Honorary pallbearers are Lawrence Bennett, Jere Brookshire, Derek Hicks, Devaughn Pettit, Joey Smalley, and David Wade.
