Thelma Langley

Mrs. Thelma Maxwell Langley, 70, of Adairsville, died Thursday, June 04, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center. Born on January 8, 1945 in Taylorsville, GA, she was the daughter to the late James Noble Maxwell, Sr. and the late Mrytice Christine Gentry Maxwell.

Mrs. Langley was a graduate from Taylorsville High School Class of 1963, a member at Taylorsville Baptist Church and Rome Shrine Club. She was a very caring and kind person who was always considerate of other people. She loved her cats and cooking. She enjoyed other people but she especially liked to spend time with her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers, James Noble Maxwell, Jr. and Edward Crawford Maxwell.

Survivors include her husband of 25 years, Bill Langley of Adairsville; sister, Eva Garrett (Brian) of Acworth; brother, Bobby Maxwell (Drucilla) of Taylorsville; stepdaughters, Lisa Peppers (Clay) of Monroe, GA, Leslie Puckett of Auburn, GA; stepsons, James Langley (Samantha) of Monroe, GA, Jeff Langley (Janice) of Monroe, GA; sister in law, Lynn Maxwell of Taylorsville.

A graveside service will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 6, 2015, in the Taylorsville Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Tommy Harris officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Head, Johnny Maxwell, Lee Maxwell, Larry Satterfield, Ronnie Hicks and Harry Worthington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Thelma's memory to the Masonic Home of Georgia, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, GA 31211
