Mrs. Theresia Mae Chapman, 62, of Taylorsville, died Saturday, April 27, 2013 at Floyd Medical Center.
Born May 10, 1950 in Beckley, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Jasper Buttrick and the late Margie Tolliver Buttrick. Mrs. Chapman was a member of Creekside Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her husband, George Chapman; son, Kyle Allen, Jr. of Sylvester, GA; daughters, Pearl Hartley of Cartersville, and Mary Evans and her husband Tim of Taylorsville; sisters, Jackie Ward of Huntington, WV, Nellie Williams of Plum Orchard, WV, Loretta Buttrick of Virginia, and Charlotte Curbello of Cartersville; grandchildren, Ashley Evans, Tyler Hartley, Christian Hartley, T. J. Evans, Hunter Evans, Courtney Bass, Whitney Clements, and Chris Clements; 4 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Creekside Fellowship Church with The Reverend Mike Abernathy officiating. Interment will follow in Bethel Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 30, 2013 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers will be Tim Evans, Matthew Madden, Blake Doyle, Tyler Hartley, Russell James, and Jasper James.
