Thomas (Tommy) Lee Blanton

Thomas (Tommy) Lee Blanton, passed away on Saturday, April 27, 2024. He was born on January 18, 1938, in Crab Orchard, KY, the son of William J. and Mary (Saylor) Blanton.
Proceeded in death by brothers, Marvin J. Blanton and John William Blanton; parents, William J. and Mary E. Blanton; and wife, Bobbie Sue (Lanham) Blanton. Survivors are God Children, Julia Womack Thompson, Joey Womack, Jill Womack Archer, and Scott Guinn; nephews, John Randal and Richard Blanton; and a number of cousins and friends.
Thomas was retired from the US Air Force and the Social Security Administration. He was a member of Faith Methodist Church where he served as Treasurer and a number of other committees. He was a member of Cartersville Lodge No. 63 F&AM as a Past Master, also Past Grand Master of Grand Lodge of GA 2004, was Past Illustrious Master of the Grand Council of GA 2000, a member of the Yarrab Shrine, 33° Scottish Rite Mason, Cartersville Chapter No. 329 Order of the Eastern Star, and a number of other Masonic organizations.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with graveside services to follow at 3:30 p.m. with Full Masonic Rites at Oak Hill Cemetery, Cartersville, GA.
Pallbearers will be members of Cartersville Lodge No. 63 F&AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to the Masonic Home of Georgia or Faith Methodist Church.
