Thomas Moody

Thomas Eugene Moody, 50, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born November 2, 1959 in Chillicothe, Ohio, he was the son of Earl Leroy Moody and the late Mary Pittman Moody.



Tom was a native of Ohio but had been a long time resident of Cartersville. He worked in the field of construction for over twenty years, was a veteran of the United States Army, and was an avid fisherman.



He is survived by his father and step-mother, Earl and Robin Moody; his only daughter, Angela Marie Moody; and his grandchildren, Gabriella, Christopher and Starr. Tom was the oldest of seven children and brother to Rhonda Williams, Brenda Moody, Greg Moody, Marsha Peters, Saundra Murphy, and Melissa Secrest. Survivors also include his step-sister and step-brother, Carrie Danials and Mike Randolph.



Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 19, 2010 in Georgia National Cemetery with Pastor Steve Pettit officiating. Full military honors will be provided by American Legion Carl Boyd Post #42.



The family will receive friends from 9 � 10 a.m. on Friday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
