Mr. Thomas Arnold �Tom� Wilbanks, 67, of Adairsville, passed away Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at his residence. Born June 6, 1941 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late Richard Huston Wilbanks and the late Lois Meeks Wilbanks. Tom was an engineer for the Army Corps of Engineers. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and working with his hands. Preceding him in death are his parents; his sons, James and Huston Wilbanks; his sisters, Margie Silvers and Betty Jacobs; and his brothers, Robert and Jerry Wilbanks.



Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Dorothy Wilbanks of Adairsville; his daughters, Angel Wilbanks of White and Heather Wilbanks of Adairsville; his son, Jeffery Wilbanks of Adairsville; his sister, Shirley Camp of New Hope; his brother, Gene Wilbanks of Cartersville; 6 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 23, 2009 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Charles Ghorley officiating. Burial will follow in the Church of God of the Union Assembly Cemetery.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
