Timmy Elrod

Mr. Timmy Lee Elrod of 12 East Porter Street, Cartersville, died on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at Cartersville Medical Center. He was 48 years old. A native of Bartow County, Timmy was born June 10, 1958 to Betty E. Sligh Elrod and the late George Junior Elrod. He was a faithful member of Tabernacle Baptist Church and was Baptisted in 2003. He sang in the adult choir and was a big fan of the Atlanta
Braves and Nascar racing.

Preceding him in death are his father, George Elrod, maternal grandparents, Jessie and Alma Sligh and friends, Perry Goad and Ric Mason.

Survivors include his mother, Betty Elrod of Cartersville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jackie and Harold Meadows, Lisa and Ronald Dover; brothers, Danny Elrod and Darrell Elrod, nieces and nephews, Jessica Hibberts, Brandon Meadows, Tamara Simmons, Carey Mooney, Alesha Tidwell, four great nieces and two great nephews, along with special friends, Lamar and Teresa Pinson.

Graveside services will be held Friday at 12 Noon in the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Parnick Jennings Funeral Home on Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Elrod, Darrell Elrod, Harold Meadows, Brandon Meadows, Ronald Dover and Toby Simmons. Timothy Tidwell will serve
as honorary pallbearers. They are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 11:15 a.m.

The Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville is in charge of the arrangements.
