Timothy Tucker

Timothy Michael "Timmy" Tucker, age 29, of 15 Allen Street, Rome, GA, a former resident of Parkwood Development Center of Valdosta, GA, died Saturday, October 2, 2004, at his residence following a lengthy illness. Timmy was born in Floyd County on April 30, 1975, the son of Vera Mae Tucker Stephens and the late David Andrew Tucker. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Homer and Rosie Davis, and two sisters, Martha Renee Tucker, November 19, 1974, and Tonya Marlene Tucker, August 1, 1977, two aunts, Bobbie Ann Hudgins and Donna Marie Buffington.Timmy is survived by his mother, Vera Mae Stephens of Rome; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Tina Tucker Bing and her husband Bobby, Katie Tucker, and Donna and Bobby Hudgins, all of Rome; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Richard Tucker, Christopher Tucker and Jamie Young, all of Rome; five uncles, Billy Davis, Eugene Davis, Tim Davis, John Davis and Donald Barrett; five aunts, Debra Davis, Shelia Davis, Martha Ann Davis, Pam Davis and Cora Matney; paternal grandparents, Bill and Peggy Tucker. A number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.Funeral services for Timmy will be held on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. in the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Anderson, Rev. Alan Fuller and Mr. J. Parnick Jennings officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.Timmy will lie in-state at the Heritage Chapel of the Jennings Funeral Home where the family will receive friends this (Monday) evening from 6 until 9 p.m. At other hours they may be contacted at the residence.Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 1:30 p.m. and include Bobby Bing, John Pope, James Matney, Dewayne Matney, Johnathon Davis and O.B. Pierson.
