Tommie Jacobs

Mrs. Tommie Jo Jacobs, age 64, of 20 Gray Road, Cartersville, died on Wednesday, April 16, 2008 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Bartow County on April 2, 1944, she was the daughter of the late J.D. Atkinson and Lillie Bell Cordell Atkinson. Mrs. Jacobs enjoyed reading, cooking, watching baseball and taking care of other peoples' children. She was of the Baptist faith. Preceding her in death are her parents, her husband, Amos Jacobs and a brother, Billy Jo Atkinson.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Aime and Randy Todd of Rockmart; her grandsons, Johnathan and Ethan Todd of Dallas; her sister and brother-in-law, Marie and Jimmy Hendrix of Cartersville; her sister-in-law, Jean Atkinson of Cartersville, several nieces and nephews, and her puppy, Missy.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 18, 2008, at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Jon Spellman officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.
Pallbearers are asked to meet at the funeral home on Friday at 1:15 p.m. and will include: Randy Gray, Bodie Gray, Stacy Hendrix, Spencer Hendrix, Brandon Hughes, D. J. Black and Johnny Gray.

The family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 – 9 p.m.
