Tommy �Duck� Gregory, 33, of Cartersville passed away Thursday, January 13, 2011 at the Cartersville Medical Center. A native of Cartersville, he was born February 2, 1977 and was the son of Jones Ronnie Gregory and Faye Cook Nally. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Annie Lou and Jesse Cook and Leah and Bud Gregory.
Tommy�s love for taking things apart and building things as he grew up led to his love of low rider trucks. He built his own go kart when he was younger, and he was a talented airbrush artist. Tommy was also a member and President of the Backyard Kreations Low Rider Club. He also enjoyed laying sparks with his low rider and often said, �It�s not a low enough if you can�t see sparks.�
Tommy had been employed with Mohawk for fifteen years. He was a graduate of Cartersville High School. In addition to low rider trucks, Tommy enjoyed music, cartoons, and poker. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Faye and Jerry Nally; his father and stepmother, Ronnie and Snoop Gregory; his fianc�, Heather Jones and their daughter, Kyndall; his brothers Anthony Gregory, Jeremy Gregory, LeRoy Young, and Clay Nally; his sisters Amanda Gregory, Cara Barnes, Misty Wiley, and Ginger Peacock; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Rydal.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chris Baldwin, Waylon Baldwin, Eric Riseden, CJ Cook, Jonathan Sanford, Wesley Jones, Howard Brown, and Ronnie Cox. The members of Backyard Kreations will serve as honorary pallbearers. These gentlemen are requested to meet at the funeral home by 1:15 p.m. on Sunday.
The family will receive friends 5 - 9 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
