Mr. Tony Lee Dupree, age 56, of Adairsville, peacefully went into the arms of Jesus on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, with his family at his side.
Mr. Dupree was born in Rome, Georgia on April 23, 1966, son of the late Geneva Falls Dupree McClung and Willie Lee Dupree. Tony had a life-long love of working on cars and building hotrods. More than anything, he loved spending time with his family, his wife and daughters, and especially his grand babies, Porter and Emory, who he loved more than anything in this world. He was considered a wonderful friend by many, and he will be missed as much as he was loved.
He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as two infant siblings, Gail and Joey Dupree, and his stepfather, HM McClung.
He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Debbie Dupree of Adairsville; daughters and sons-in-law, Jodi and Gregg Mann of Cartersville, and Traci and Matthew Flippen of Calhoun; grandchildren, Porter, Emory, and Isabella Mann of Cartersville; a brother, Shane Dupree of Ranger; his beloved Dachshund, Buddy, who was always right by his side.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, with Reverend Doc Hatfield and Reverend Scott Hatten officiating. The family will receive visitors from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2023, at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church in Kingston, Georgia, with Reverend Dennis Chambers speaking graveside.
Pallbearers include Ron Anderson, Christian Davis, Jeff Dupree, Mark Dupree, Andy Hightower, Zachary Hightower, Joel Portwood, and Bryan Silvers. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Tidwell, Patrick Beasley, Frank Neal, Darrin Smith, Billy Temple, and Stacy Fowler.
