Tony Jackson

Morgan Anthony "Tony" Jackson, 64, of Cartersville, Georgia, passed away suddenly at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital on Saturday, January 21, 2023.

Born on April 18, 1958, Tony was the son of his late father, late Morgan Anthony Jackson Sr., and his late mother, Doris "Jeanette" Eschliman. He is also preceded in death by his sister, Angela Denise Adrianson.
Tony was a devout believer in God and really enjoyed the pastoral work he did at New Hope Chapel Baptist Church. As a minister, he counseled those who needed his guidance with kindness, wisdom, and lack of judgement. You could always find Tony volunteering around his community, helping his neighbors with handyman work, making repairs at no charge, and helping those in need. Tony served his country for 6 years in the United States National Guard. He was a creative man who enjoyed singing and writing poetry and music. Tony was incredibly funny and loved telling jokes and making people laugh. His favorite pastime though, was fishing with his friends and family. You could even find him occasionally sneaking away from work to put a line in the water. Tony was very well liked and appreciated by his community and immensely loved by his family. He will be sorely missed.

Those left behind to miss Tony are his sisters, Sherry Hayes, Lisa Caudle (Robert), and Tracey Jackson; his aunts and uncles, Waymond Brown, Gary Brown, Patricia Jordan, and Linwood Brown; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

The family will be hosting a memorial service to celebrate Tony's life at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the New Hope Chapel Baptist Church located at 3194 Cartersville Hwy SE, Rome, GA 30161.
