Trammel Owens

Mr. Trammel Owens, 85, of Cartersville died on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Townsend Park Health and Rehabilitation.

Born in Trion, Georgia on August 16, 1933 he was the son of the late Luther C. Owens and the late Mary Bailey Owens. He was also preceded in death by his brother, William Harold Owens; and sister-in-law, Dean Owens.

Trammel was a hard worker who retired from Goodyear, as a supervisor after over thirty years of service and then went on to retire from the United States Postal Service. He was an avid camper and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife of over sixty years, Jane Brock Owens; his children, Theresa Owens Wilson and her husband Rio, Todd Owens and Tracy Owens; his grandchildren, TeLisa Jones, Drake Worley and his wife Katie, and Garrett Worley and his fiancé Kaitlin Burton; his great-grandchildren, Trevin Jones and Devin Jones; his siblings, L.C. Owens and his wife Patricia and Wanda Owens Smith; several sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Clinton Green officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. on Saturday prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Eddie Owens, Ronald Owens, Chris Owens, Lee Brock, Mark Brock and Andy Brock.
