Travis Edward Brown, Sr.

Travis Edward Brown, Sr. went home to be with the Lord on May 15, 2024. He was born on June 22, 1944 in Hendersonville, NC. He is preceded in death by his father, Henry Edgar Brown, his mother, Marjorie Ethridge Brown, and his sister Peggy Sue Brown-Smith.

Mr. Brown was a US Air Force Veteran and enjoyed a long and fruitful career in business management and administration. He loved Jesus and faithfully served as a church choir member, deacon and Sunday School teacher for many years. Mr. Brown was a history buff, loved good food, reading, watching football and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Johanna Wiggins Brown; son Travis E. Brown, Jr. (Sonya); daughter Marjorie L. Cribb (Jason); grandchildren Anna Brown, Molly Brown, William Cribb, and Hudson Cribb; sisters Elaine Brown (Charlie) and Nancy Roadruck (Gary) and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 pm on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 in the North Auditorium at Crosspoint City Church. Jason Cribb of Crosspoint City Church and Walt Pittman of Cassville Baptist Church will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm on Tuesday prior to the service.
