Tyler L. Edwards, age 21, of Rome, GA, died Wednesday, March 25, 2009.
Tyler was born in Floyd County, GA on March 12, 1988 the son of David Edwards and Felicia Stanley. He graduated from Cedartown High School in 2005. Tyler was employed with All Purpose Service Company in Cartersville, GA. He loved his family and friends. Also, loved to play video games and listen to music. Tyler was preceded in death by his uncle, Bradley Stanley and a great-grandfather, Jim Tarver.
In addition to his parents Tyler is survived by his step-father, Wayne Stanley a brother, Coy Edwards; two sisters, Allison Stanley and Caitlin Stanley; maternal grandparents, James and Mildred Tarver; paternal grandmother, Carolyn Stanley; and a maternal great-grandmother, Vina Tarver; uncles and aunts, Scotty and Dianna McElwee, Brandon and Amanda Stanley, and Robert and Julie Parris; cousins, April McElwee and Garett Parris.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 28, 2009, at 2:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel of the McGuire, Jennings, & Miller Funeral Home with Rev. Stanley Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. in the Oaknoll Chapel.
The following gentlemen have been asked to serve as pallbearers and are requested to meet in the Oaknoll Chapel on Saturday by 1:30 P.M.: Jeremy Ruark, Nick Brown, T.J. Stroup, Brett Rutledge, Ricky Freeman, and T.J. Brown.
