It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vera Daislee Ingle, a beloved member of the Cartersville community, who left us peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at the age of 97. Born on May 23, 1928, in Taylorsville, Georgia, Vera lived a long and fulfilling life, bringing joy and warmth to everyone around her.
Vera was a cherished member of The Entire Bible Baptist Church in Acworth, where her faith and kindness touched many lives. She was known for her green thumb and passion for gardening, cultivating not just plants but also friendships and memories that bloomed year after year. "There will never be another person like her," her friends and family fondly remember.
She was predeceased by her father, Fletcher Stokes, her mother, Lillie Stokes, her loving husband, Paul Ingle, her son, Douglas Edward Ingle, her grandson, Joe Dover, her great-grandson, T.J. Dover, and her sons-in-law, Wyley Nixon and Johnny Scrivens. Vera's strength and resilience were a testament to her character, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter.
Vera is survived by a host of devoted family members and friends who will deeply miss her presence. This includes her daughters, Shirley Nixon and Kathy Scrivens; son, William Ingle; as well as several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers honoring her memory include Michael Mead, Anita Mead, Frannie Ingle, Chris Scrivens, Wayne Dover, and Elvis Dover.
A visitation will be held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 1:30 pm, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the same location. Friends and family are invited to celebrate Vera’s remarkable life and the joy she brought into the world.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services. Though Vera has left this world, her spirit will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be missed profoundly but will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved her.
