Vickie Mulkey

Vickie Mulkey, 67 of Cartersville passed away on Monday, August 12, 2019 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born in Cartersville on May 26, 1952 she was the daughter of the late Mike William Jones and the late Myrtle Virginia Martin Jones. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Roy Jones; her sister Marzelle McCollum; and her brother-in-law, Lloyd Buchanan.

Vickie had been employed as the office manager at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home until her retirement after many, many years of faithful service. She was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church in Rydal. Vickie loved the Lord. She was an amazing and devoted mother and deeply loved her family and friends. She also really enjoyed shopping and ice cream.

Survivors include her son, Blake Mulkey of Cartersville; her sisters, Charlotte Buchanan, and Maxie Roberts; her brother-in-law, Byrd McCollum; and her special friends, Sandra Cline, Wilma Findley, Brenda Kay, Vicki Rader, and Wilma Erwin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 15, 2019 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Reverend Leroy Kelley and Reverend James Surratt officiating. A private interment will follow at a later time. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at the funeral home.
