Mrs. Faye Couey Lawler, age 68, of 183 Barker Road, Rome, GA, died Friday afternoon, July 7, 2006, at her residence.Mrs. Lawler was born in Floyd County, June 1, 1938, daughter of the late Raymond Couey and Jessie Mae Carroll Couey. She had lived her entire life in Floyd County. Mrs. Lawler was married to Bobby Ralph Lawler and he preceded her in death, June 2, 1997, also by a daughter Gina Lynn Lawler and by a twin sister Violese Mae Couey.Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Angie Lawler of Rome; three daughters and sons-in-law,Renee and Rev. Alan Fuller of Rome, Pam and Rick Mathison of Cartersville, GA, and Kim and Tom Nichols of Clermont, Fl; seven grandchildren, Joshua Mathison, Chelsea Mathison, Noah Fuller, Alison Fuller, David Nichols, Kate Nichols, and Zeke Lawler; one brother, Ernest Couey of Rome; three sisters, Jewell Mitchell of Cedar Bluff, AL, Edith Frazier of Rome, and Agnes Gay of Melbourne, FL.Funeral services will be held at 1:30 PM, Sunday, July 9, 2006, in the Oaknoll Chapel of Jennings Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Oates officiating. Interment will be in Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.Mrs. Lawler will lie in-state at Jennings Oaknoll Chapel where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. today (Saturday). At other hours the family may be reached at the residence.Pallbearers are asked to meet at 1 P.M., Sunday at Jennings Oaknoll Chapel and they include Steve Mitchell, Jimmy Moon, Josh Mathison, Noah Fuller, Jason Moon, and David Nichols.Jennings Oaknoll Chapel Funeral Home had charge of the arrangements.
