Virgil Couch

Virgil Ernest Couch, 77, of Cartersville Georgia, passed away on April 11, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on September 22, 1943, he is the son of the late James T. Couch and Tinnie Marie Byars Couch. He is also preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Simpson Couch, his son, Timothy Couch, and seven siblings.

Survivors include his son, Steve Couch (Cindy); grandchildren, Tim Couch (Megan), Marc Couch (Toni), Derek Couch (Tamara) and Stephanie Couch (Richard Smith); brothers, Clyde Couch and Ernest Couch (Rose); sister, Mary Owens (Allen), two brothers-in-law, three sisters-in-law, nine great grandchildren, five great-great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Virgil was an avid coin collector and enjoyed playing his guitar. Every party he attended, he would get up, dance, and do the twist. In addition, he enjoyed spending time working in his yard. He was a member of Oakland Heights Baptist Church and he worked at Optimum Technologies for many years with his wife by his side.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Keith King officiating. Interment will follow at Rowland Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm prior to the service.

Serving as pallbearers will be Tim Couch, Marc Couch, Derek Couch, Richard Smith, Ryan Tomlinson, and Kyle Tomlinson.
