Virginia "Jenny" Channell

Virginia "Jenny" Joyce Channell, 71, of Cartersville passed away on Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her residence.

Born on May 22, 1949 in Cartersville she was the daughter of the late Charlie H. Dover and the late Lula Blackmon Long. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy L. Channell; her daughter, Susan Lee Channell; her brothers, James Dover, Jackie Dover, Teddy Dover, and Marvin Dover; and her sisters, Brenda Hensley, and Mary Riseden.

Jenny was a homemaker who loved hanging out with her grandchildren. She enjoyed playing Bingo and Poker.

Survivors include her children, Sandra Jordan (Darrell), Marilyn McIntyre, Andrea Channell, Jimmy Channell (Susan), and Tony Channell; thirteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Buddy Dover; several nieces and nephews; and special cousins, Vickie Adams, and Sue Cantrell.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 17, 2020 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Brett Ellington and Susan Channell officiating. Burial will follow in Euharlee Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Friday, October 16, 2020 at the funeral home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jimmy Channell, Tony Channell, Darrell Jordan, Michael Jordan, Benjamin Mitchell, and Charlie Channell.
