Virginia Martin

Virginia �Genny� Martin, 81, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at her residence. A native of Bartow County, she was born April 2, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Bethel Brawner and the late Emma James Brawner Petty. Genny was a member of Atco Baptist Church and was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Helen Wade and Dorothy Henderson.



Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Cliff Martin, and several nieces and nephews.



We would like to thank her faithful caregivers, in addition to her husband; Steve Wade, Beth Cason, Deborah Worthey, Emma Abernathy and Eunice Martin.



Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Friday, September 25, 2009 at Atco Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Ivey officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens.



Serving as active pallbearers will be Bobby Wade, Jerry Henderson, Kenny Martin, Keith Fountain, Chris Martin and Corey Martin.



In lieu of flowers those desiring may make donations to Atco Baptist Church, 20 Parmenter Street, and Cartersville in Genny�s memory.



The family will receive friends from 5 � 8 p.m. on Thursday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville, GA 30120.
