Virginia Ann Mauldin, 86 of Emerson, Georgia, passed away on March 18, 2025 at Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center. She was born in Cartersville on August 13, 1938 to the late Sidney Meadows and the late Retha Mulkey Cardwell. In addition to her parents, she also preceded in death by her daughter, Tammy Mauldin; daughter-in-law Cathy Mauldin; brothers Tommy Meadows and Ronnie Meadows; and her sister, Gail Rogers.
Virginia was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She loved to cook, sew, and quilt. Most everyone in Bartow County has eaten her cooking while she was at Cody J's. She stuck by her favorite saying "Happiness is a kitchen full of family." She adored and loved her family with her whole heart.
Survivors include her husband, Max Mauldin; her children, Jeff (Jan) Mauldin, Dana (Jim) Bruce and Derick (Missy) Mauldin; grandchildren Bradley (Christin) Gentry, Carley Bruce, Josh Bruce, Cody (Jennifer) Mauldin, Chase Mauldin, Lindsey Mauldin, Lauren Mauldin, Ty (JoAnna) Abernathy, Wes Abernathy, and step grandson Tyler Hill; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters Carolyn McPherson and Dawn (Billy) Henon; sister-in-law Brenda Meadows; brother-in-law Robert Rogers; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 21, 2025 at Bethany Baptist Church with Reverend Danny Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:30 pm on Friday prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be Cody Mauldin, Chase Mauldin, Bradley Gentry, Josh Bruce, Ty Abernathy, and Wes Abernathy. Honorary pallbearers will be Jim Bruce, Billy Henon, and Tyler Hill.
