Virginia Salinas

March 31, 1927 — September 17, 2008

Mrs. Virginia Young Salinas, 81, of Marietta passed away Wednesday, September 17, 2008 at the North Fulton Regional Hospital in Roswell. Born March 31, 1927 in Stone Mountain, she was the daughter of the late Sarah Mobley Ehman and the late Robert Lee Ehman. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Robert H. �Bob� Young; and her sisters, Barbara Montgomery and Wanda Miller.



Virginia attended Decatur Girls High School in Decatur. Over the years she had been employed with Goodyear, Southeastern Travelers, and Baxter Healthcare. Virginia and her husband had been operating Attic Self Storage in Marietta. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.



Survivors include her husband, Hugo Salinas of Marietta; her sons and daughter-in-law, David Young of Lilburn, Jimmy and Robin Young of Kennesaw, and Tommy Young of Adairsville; her daughter, Susan Young of Marietta; her granddaughters, Jennifer, April and Amber Young; her grandsons, Michael and Blake Young; her great-granddaughter, Heather Miller; extended family, Kristal and Travis Martin and children of Adairsville, Cindy and Hamlet Mahida and daughters of Roswell, Belinda and Jimmy Sanders of Dallas, Pam and Dan Manning of Georgewest, Texas, Kenneth and Andrea Salinas and children of Snellville, Desire� and Quinn Wheeler of Snellville, Greg and Donna Salinas and children of Albany, Louisiana, Quentin (USN) and Amy Salinas and children of Jacksonville, Florida, Sherry Chesney and children, Gary (USMC) and Jay Chesney of Beaufort, South Carolina, Julio and Aurora Salinas and children of Houston, Texas, Joe and Sue Salinas of Houston, Texas, and Hector and Josie Salinas of Houston, Texas.



Memorial services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 20, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Dr. Don Hattaway officiating. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service and following the service.
