Vivian Mccary

Mrs. Vivian Doss McCary, 84, of White, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at her residence. Born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, February 4, 1927, Mrs. McCary was the daughter of the late John Cecil Doss and the late Ophelia Edwards Doss. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph E. McCary, Sr.; her sister, Doris Doss; and her brother, Raymond Doss.



Mrs. McCary was a member at Church at Liberty Square where she started the Harvest House Food Ministry. She was founder of the prayer and counseling prayer ministry at Cartersville Church of God. Mrs. McCary was a retired teacher from the Cartersville City School System.



Survivors include her children, Glenda M. Bridges of Fairmount, Ralph E. McCary, Jr. and wife, Sharon of White, Donna Sullins and husband, Rick of Cartersville; her grandchildren, Vivian �Lori� Lasson, Joel Pinckard, Carrie Pinckard, Amanda McCary Briggs, Brett Sullins, Kelly Sullins and Kaye Sullins; her great-grandchildren, Christian Garcia, Bradley Pinckard, Tyra Brown, Abigail Brown and Briggs Brown; her sister, Johnnie D. Graves; and her special friend, K. Ray Looney.



Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, June 16, 2011 at the Church at Liberty Square with Rev. Jacob King officiating. Burial will follow in Wofford�s Crossroads Church Cemetery.



In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Church at Liberty Square.



Serving as active pallbearers will be Joel Pinchard, Brett Sullins, Robert Garland, David Briggs, Larry Ginn, Jr. and Bill Hilburn. The Lola Moates Sunday School Class will serve as honorary pallbearers.



The family will receive friends from, 6 � 9 p.m., Wednesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.
