Reverend Wade Hamilton Day, 72, of Cartersville, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014 at Cartersville Medical Center.
Born February 16, 1942 in Rome, he was a son of the late Amos Warren Day and the late Sarah Hardin Day. Reverend Day was a member of Morning View Baptist Church and was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He loved to fly and loved his dogs, Miss D and Milly. He was also very involved with prison ministry. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by twin sons, Mark and Todd Day; his brother, Warren Amos Day; and his sister, Rebecca Day.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Nancy C. Day; sons, Patrick Day and his wife Sharon of Omaha, NE, and Keith Day and his partner Ronald Sarquist of Atlanta; daughters, Kimberly Michelle Tate and her significant other, Keith Archibald of Cartersville, and Tammy Lynn Black and her husband William Michael Black of Acworth; grandchildren, Paige Nick and her husband Aron, Joshua Wade Tate and his wife Melissa, Heather Coffey, and Meagan Rampley and her husband Brett; great-grandchildren, Alex Nick, Cooper Tate Rampley, Parker Rampley, and Ethan Wade Tate; his mother-in-law, Jonelle Taylor of Acworth; brother-in-law, Bill Taylor and his wife Vickie of Marietta; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 14, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Sammy Burgess and The Reverend Paul O'Neal officiating. Interment will follow in Kennesaw City Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, March 13, 2014 from 6 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Brett Rampley, Joshua Tate, Aron Nick, Mike Black, Jeremy Taylor, Russell Taylor, Bill Taylor, and Jeremy Squires. Alex Nick will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer.
