Mr. Walter Joel Sigmon, 73, of Cartersville passed away Tuesday, July 24, 20l2 at his residence. He was a native of Bartow County, born November 25, 1938 and was the son of the late Sanford Sigmon and the late Elizabeth Carson Sigmon. Preceding him in death along with his parents are his brother, Lewis Sanford Sigmon; and his sisters, Emma Jean Canty, Clara Foster and Barbara Jean Fowler.
He is survived by his brother, Daniel Sigmon; his sisters, Eula Cox, Brenda Hill, Mattie Starr and Louise Blakely; special friends, Alvin West, Joe Howard McAfee, Harry Fite, Stacey McClure and Lorraine Brent; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be conducted at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, July 28, 2012 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
