Wanda Dover

Mrs. Wanda Byars Dover, 67, of Cartersville, died Thursday, August 27, 2015 at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.

Born March 24, 1948 in Cartersville, she was a daughter of the late Warren Byars and the late Sally Hill Byars. Mrs. Dover was of the Holiness Faith and enjoyed playing bingo and watching game shows. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Johnny Michael Dover; sisters, Kimberly Hope Doering and Darlene Byars; and a special friend, Joanne Miller.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Johnny Dover ; daughter, Sandra Williams of Cartersville; son, Shane Dover and his wife Tammy of Cartersville; granddaughter, Haley Dover; great-granddaughter, Mallory Culver; sisters, Linda Hightower of Adairsville, Judy Herod of Dalton, Vicki Byars of Alabama, Sherry Collins, and Brenda Smith, both of Cartersville; brothers, Cliff Byars of Cartersville, Tim Byars of Adairsville, and Brian Jones of Atlanta; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, August 30, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Donnie Whitener and The Reverend Timmy Holmes officiating. Interment will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Dylan Culver, Trey Byars, Chris Byars, Blake Byars, Robert Burnett, and Kelly Hightower.
