Wanda Fowler

Wanda Fowler of Cartersville passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Cartersville Medical Center.

Born on August 18, 1950 in Rome, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Edward Charles and the late Ruth Charles. She was also preceded in death by her son, Kip Fowler; and her brothers, Eugene Charles and Johnny Charles.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Gary Fowler; her daughter and son-in-love, Krista and Adam Mayfield; her grandchildren, Kip Mayfield and Auston Mayfield; her sisters, Suedy Harris, Vickie Lowery, and Eunice King; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wanda was the best wife, Momma and Nonda. She loved and served the Lord and was a faithful member of Center Baptist Church. She was a dedicated volunteer for Relay for Life and the American Cancer Society for over 30 years; in addition to those causes she also started a Parent's Grief Support Group.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 23, 2021 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Joey Phillips and Reverend Kenneth Stepp officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kipton Mayfield, Phillip Lowery, Adrian Harris, Mike Jones, and Dennis Huskins; Honorary pallbearer, Auston Mayfield.
