Wanda Mccollum

Wanda Faye McClure McCollum, 60, of Cartersville, died Saturday, December 19, 2015 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born December 20, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Walter M. McClure and Mickey Harris McClure. In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her spouse, Benjamin Gerald "Jerry" McCollum.

Wanda was a devoted and active member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church. She had a very busy career working as an EMT, Firefighter, dispatch for Adairsville, serving as Secretary to the Chief of the Adairsville Police, Clerk of Court and part time Assistant Clerk of Court in Emerson. In her spare time, she enjoyed photographing her family and friends, singing, attending her grandchildren's various activities and watching NASCAR.

Survivors include a daughter, Jessica "Bree" Huskins; sons, Johnny McCollum and wife, Jada, Joey McCollum and wife, Faith; her mother, Mickey Harris McClure; her
sister, Carolyn Worthington; her brother, Clifford McClure; her grandchildren, Darius and Reggie Huskins, Baylee and Jonah McCollum, Jordan Griffin, Drew, Jessica and Hannah Johnson, Hayden and Jake McCollum; a great-grandchild, Zion Boykin; along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 p.m., December 23, 2015 at Cedar Creek Baptist Church with The Reverend Greg Free and The Reverend Larry Hibberts officiating. Interment will follow in Cassville Cemetery. Mrs. McCollum will be carried to the church on Wednesday to lie in state for one hour prior to the service. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
