Warren Lewis

Mr. Warren Richard Lewis, Sr. 70, of White, died Monday, November 25, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center. Born January 18, 1943 in Bartow County, he was the son of the late Hurby Henry Lewis and the late Annice Elizabeth Earwood Lewis.
Mr. Lewis was self-employed as a general contractor and was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a loving father, brother, grandfather, teacher, friend and a devoted family man. He was of the Christian Faith and enjoyed golfing, fishing and playing cards with his grandkids. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sons, Richard "Scotty" Lewis and Warren "Ricky" Lewis, Jr.; a sister, Ethel Lewis; and his brothers, Emmett and Larry Lewis.
He is survived by his daughters, Shelby L. Hicks of White, Stephanie Nardil of Lafayette, California, Shurrie Romine of White and Jessica Lewis Maddox of Adairsville; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; his sisters, Edith Parivechio of Dallas and Kathy Chappell of Taylorsville; his brothers, Elton Lewis of Fairmount and Danny Lewis of Cartersville; friends and mothers of his children, Brenda Lewis and JoAnn Cowart; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 2, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Keith Dempsey officiating. The family will receive friends from 3 – 5 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Stephanie Nardil, 163 Kirk Road, White, Ga. 30184, to assist with funeral expenses.
