Mr. Wayne Leachman, 73 of Cartersville, passed away on Sunday, October 19, 2025, at Redmond Regional Medical Center in Rome.
Born on October 21, 1951, in Cartersville he was the son of the late Billy C. Leachman and the late Estie Lee Barron Holmes. He was also preceded in death by his stepfather, John Lewis Holmes; stepmother, Wanitta Leachman; son, Eric Leachman; brothers, Billy Leachman, and Johnny Holmes; sister, Bertha Clark; brother-in-law, Ronnie Rogers; and his sister-in-law, Gail Rubeck.
Wayne was the best husband anyone could imagine. He loved his family and some of his nephews called him "Uncle Ween". He also loved his church, and the Lord. He was a member of Landmark Holiness Church and read his bible regularly. Wayne served his country in the Army and worked for Shaw Industries for over 24 years and for Goodyear for over 21 years.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Leachman; his sons, Marc Leachman (Stephanie), and Cory Leachman; his grandchildren, Destynee Garrison (Morgan), Layla Leachman, Rylee Leachman, and Addison Thompson; great grandchildren, Paisleigh Garrison, Wyatt Garrison, and Zavian Dean; his siblings, Lisa Brock, Tim Holmes (Wendy), Debbie Leach (Howard); his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Rick Rogers (Joyce), Jim Rogers (Deb), Helen Trowbridge (Terry) and Debra Wilson; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 24, 2025, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Simons officiating. Burial will follow in Providence Cemetery. A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marc Leachman, Cory Leachman, Christopher Brock, Dustin Goss, Chip Williams, Jess Boiles, Joe Boiles, Jon Boiles, Trenton Wood, and Raymond Banks.
