Whitney Spradley

March 5, 1988 — February 25, 2021

Whitney Dawn Massey Spradley, 32, of Cartersville, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 in Cartersville.

Born March 5, 1988 in Rome, Georgia, she is the daughter of Tina Chambers the late Keith Massey. She is also preceded in death by her grandfather David Nichols; grandmother Dorene Patterson; great grandparents Frank and Berniece Guyton and uncles Jason and Victor Nichols; late fur babies, Poohbear, Tyson, Punder, Jasmine, and Optimus Prime aka OP.

Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 10 years, Brett Spradley; her mom Tina (Will) Chambers; brother Michael (Janet) Massey and their son Preston; half-sister Karlee Hattan and her children Addison and Tucker; brother-in-law Jamey Spradley; sister-in-law Stephanie Jordan and her children Joshua, Jessica and Lucas; mother-in-law Kathy Spradley; step-sisters Harleigh (DJ) Lanham, Haleigh Chambers, her son Baby Junior, and Kelly (CJ) Chambers and their children Matheu, Dylan and Matalyn; uncle Kenny Patterson, Kenneth Massey, James Massey; Aunt Misty Acker; Grandmother Jane Massey; several cousins; best friend Elizabeth Mullinax; Godchildren Bryson and Eli Morgan; fur babies Fridae, Chipper, Sulley, Mighty Mouse, Megatron, Arcee, Cera, and Bunbun.

To know Whitney was to know what it felt like to be loved unconditionally. She had a huge heart and was a friend to all. She was an incredible wife, daughter, sister and animal lover. She was radiant sunshine and would light up every room she entered with just her smile and contagious laugh. She loved babies and getting down and playing with her nieces, nephews, and friends' kids. She would often attend basketball games and soccer games of her friend's children. Whitney worked as a vet technician and Bartow Animal Hospital Inc. for over 15 years. This was the perfect career for her since she was so fond of animals. She had a heart for rescuing animals and there are many fur babies that she "saved from getting hit by a car!" Her compassion for animals was so enormous. She would even bring Bunbun, her rabbit, inside at night, if it was going to be cold outside, because she was afraid she would freeze. Her love and compassion will be missed by everyone who knew her. The world is dimmer with her gone.
