Wiley Vaughan, Jr., 90, of Emerson, peacefully passed away on April 24, 2023, at Cherokee Center for Nursing and Healing.
Born on December 25, 1932, he is the son of the late Wiley Vaughan, Sr. and the late Pauline Kiser Vaughan. He is also preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Borum Hilburn; daughter, Wanda Vaughan; and stepchildren, John Hilburn, Jean Reynolds, and Thomas Hilburn.
Wiley is survived by his son, Charles Vaughan; brother, Kenneth Vaughan; three grandchildren; stepdaughters, Joyce Morris, Gloria James, and Penny Hilliard (Donald); step-sons, Bill Hilburn (Elaine), Robert Hilburn, James Hilburn, Paul Hilburn, and numerous step grandchildren and step great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, April 28, 2023, in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home, with Reverend Jack Kitchens officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. prior to the service.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Morris, Bill Hilburn, William Hilburn, Jovanni Flores, David Vaughan, and Brandon McElrath.
