William Boyd Cone, also known as Uncle Boyd, dad, husband, and pawpaw was born May 7th, 1950 to Howard and Delpha Cone in Hydro, OKlahoma.
He passed peacefully in his sleep July 9, 2026.
Boyd enjoyed deer hunting, spending time with family, playing with his grandchildren and cooking pancakes with his great grandchildren.
He had a long history with cars from the time he started driving at 12. He drove his own wrecker, opened several shops, and never rested until a vehicle was diagnosed.
He camped along the Canadian River with his boys, shared fireside stories at the hunting club, and took trips to Oklahoma to fish and hang out with friends. Boyd was always there to share a great conversation and sometimes play a little guitar.
Amateur Radio and automotive diagnostics were two hobbies that always had his attention. Boyd shared a wealth of knowledge with everyone who crossed his path. At the dinner table or in the shop bay, he always made time to help a technician with a problem vehicle. AG4X may be a silent key now but he will never be forgotten.
He is preceded in death by his father, William Howard Cone and mother, Delpha Kay Hall. Boyd is survived by his wife, Linda Dee Cone of Acworth, Georgia, sister, Dorothy Charles of Woodland, Michigan, daughter, Pamela Lynn Robinson of Summerville, Georgia, son, Shannon Boyd Cone of Peachtree City, Georgia, son, Chad William Cone of Adairsville, Georgia.
