William �Bill� Lee Garceau, 60, of Cartersville passed away Monday, October 18, 2010 at his residence following a lengthy illness. Born August 6, 1950 in Port Arthur, Texas, he was the son of Jerrie Elizabeth Conners Burruss and the late Walter Eugene Garceau. He was also preceded in death by his life partner, Wayne Ladreiter.
Born into a proud military family, Bill was also a veteran having served in the United States Air Force. He was known for his kindness and quiet manner and worked for years as a counselor helping others. Bill loved animals, especially his dog, Charlie.
Survivors include his devoted mother, Jerrie Burruss and a host of extended family members and friends.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the donor�s favorite charity.
