William Hilburn

Mr. William Terry "Bill" Hilburn, 58, of Cartersville, died Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at Cartersville Medical Center following a courageous battle with cancer.
Born March 6, 1955 in Floyd County, he was the son of the late Willard Eugene Hilburn and the late Martha Elizabeth Payne Hilburn. Bill was a devoted family man who loved his family dearly, was a member of Christian Fellowship Church and had such a love and passion for the Lord and for helping people. He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, loved grilling out and was the past owner/operator of Hilburn's Family Shoe Store in Rome.
Survivors include his wife, Lynn Sisneros Hilburn of Cartersville; his daughter, Elizabeth Anne Hilburn of Rome; his son, Patrick William Hilburn and wife Katie, of Chicago; his step-daughters, Maria Lynn Burch of Rockmart and Bethany Dawn Burch of Cartersville; his step-son, Christopher John Burch of Rockmart; his sister, Julia Hilburn Dent and husband Fred, of Rome; his step-mother, Mae Hilburn of Mentone, Alabama; his granddaughter, Emma Claire Peschel of Rome; and a special cousin, Jeannie Hilburn Taylor of Rome.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m., Saturday, June 29, 2013 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Reverend Jody Cagle, Patrick William Hilburn and the Reverend Terry Earwood officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Good Neighbor Homeless Shelter in Cartersville.
