William Johnson

Mr. W. C. Johnson, 83, of Cartersville, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Cartersville, Georgia on July 11, 1931, he was the son of the late William Crawford Johnson and the late Bertha Ross Johnson. Mr. Johnson was a veteran of the United States Army and served his country during the Korean War. He retired from Bartow County Maintenance Shop after 17 years of service. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Doris Smith Johnson; a daughter, Cathy Lynn Johnson and a son, Tony Lee Johnson.
Survivors include his sons; Terry Johnson of Cartersville and Daryl Johnson and his wife Hayley of Cartersville; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Grace Tatum and her husband Carter of Cartersville, Maggie Pickelsimer and her husband Buddy of Cartersville; daughter-in-law, Lorie Johnson of Cartersville; brother, James H. Johnson of Cartersville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with The Reverend Joe Nix officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 13, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
These gentlemen will be serving as pallbearers Terry Johnson, Jr., Lars Flodstrom, Lars Flodstrom, Jr., Kevin Comstock, Andy Johnson, Jack Spice and Casey Johnson.
