Mr. William Richard �Bill� Lee, 68, of Cartersville passed away Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at the Cartersville Medical Center. Born in Cartersville on February 4, 1940, he was the son of the late William Virgil Lee and the late Mzillie Bell Lee Fowler. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Leroy Lee.
Bill was the owner and operator of Bill Lee Grading. He enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the North Georgia Seniors Golf Club. Bill was also of the Baptist faith and had been attending Euharlee Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Andrea Simpson Lee; his daughters and sons-in-law, Sarah and Jerome Black and Michelle and Mark Givins; his sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Angel Lee and Brett and Jessica Lee; his grandchildren, Blake, Jacob and Caleb Black, Devin Allmon, Preston Givins, McKinsey, and Madison and Caden Lee; a great-grandchild, Hagen Allmon; his brothers and sisters-in-law, Calvin and Rosa Lee, Earl and Peggy Lee, Marvin and Susan Lee, C.H. and Linda Lee, and Marilyn Lee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Branton, Chad Branton, Lamar Starnes, Keith Wilson, Dale Hibbard and Randy Chatman. Serving as honorary pallbearers are James Jenkins and Charlie Tucker.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 28, 2008 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with Rev. Keith Dempsey officiating. A private interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Hemophilia Foundation of Georgia, c/o Children�s Health Care of Atlanta, 8800 Roswell Rd., Suite 170, Atlanta, GA 30350.
The family will receive friends from 4 � 8 p.m. Saturday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
