William "Bill" Martin

Mr. William C. "Bill" Martin, 80, of Cartersville, died Monday, September 3, 2012 at his residence.
Born March 30, 1932 in Commerce, Georgia, he was a son of the late Luther Connie Martin and the late Lillie Bell Watson Martin. Mr. Martin was a member of the Cartersville Church of God, and proudly served our Country as a veteran of the United States Navy. He was retired from Lockheed Martin and enjoyed spending time with his family. Mr. Martin was preceded in death by a son, Billy Martin; and a sister, Jessie Mae Addy.
Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Mable Ann Martin of the home; daughters, Barbara Ann Martin and Laura Mae Martin, both of Cartersville; sister, Hazel Ericson of Commerce; grandchildren, Timmy Kuykendall, Matthew Kuykendall, Kayla Mitchell, Kandis Martin, and Loren Owens; 3 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home with The Reverend Jody Cagle officiating. Interment will follow in Woffords Crossroads Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
