William Howard Taft Reed "Pee Wee,", a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the age of 68. Born and raised in Cartersville, Georgia, William "Pee Wee" was a man deeply rooted in his community and cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.
Affectionately known as "Pee Wee" by many, William "Pee Wee' was a dedicated truck driver, a career he pursued with passion and commitment. His love for the open road was only rivaled by his love for his family and his enthusiasm for classic cars. Those close to him knew William "Pee Wee" as a classic instigator, spreading joy and laughter wherever he went. He also had a special affection for his dogs and took immense joy in being surrounded by family, especially his son William "Wee Wee" and his granddaughter Micheala, lovingly nicknamed "Mop Top."
Pee Wee is survived by his loving children: sons William Reed and his wife Brittany, William Randall Reed and his wife Sabrina and Thomas Avery Reed, and daughter Regina Reed. His legacy of love continues through several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews. He will be deeply missed by his sisters, Dollie Burns, Barbara Silvers and her husband Larry, and Kay Sheriff. Pee Wee was preceded in death by his parents, John W. Reed and Lula Bell Reed, and his beloved wife, Brenda Schaak Reed.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation held at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Cartersville, GA, on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service to celebrate William's life will take place at the same location on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at 11:00 am.
Pallbearers honoring William's memory include Jimmy Popham, Trey Popham, Tyler Sheriff, Phillip Casey, Cody Dupree, Gregg Cofield and William "Booger" Reagan. Honoring him in spirit as honorary pallbearers are Cayden Sheriff, Donald Wilson, Mark Dupree, and Wayne Reed.
In a fitting tribute to William's love for classic cars, attendees who own a classic car are encouraged to drive it to the funeral service in his honor. Arrangements have been entrusted to Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
