William Robertson

William Murphy �Roadrunner� Robertson, age 59, of Cartersville, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2008 at his residence. A native of Bartow County, Mr. Robertson was born March 20, 1949, the son of the late William Murphy Robertson Sr. and Betty Ann Bearce. Mr. Robertson was most recently employed by the Allatoona Yacht Club where he worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar and especially liked Mark Martin. Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers, Tommy & Davy Joe Robertson.



Survivors include his wife, Geneva, three sons and daughter in law, Jody & Lisa Robertson, of Acworth, William Mark Robertson, of Cartersville and Andy Robertson, of Cartersville. Stepchildren, Mandy Hinson, Brandy & Daniel Price, Melissa Hunt all of Cartersville. Sisters and brothers in law, Jean & Robert Lingerfelt , of Cartersville, Kay Taylor, of Emerson, Cathy & Mike Parker, of Emerson, Lena & Daniel Hames, of Sylacauga, Al., Robin & Robert Smith, of Taylorsville. One brother and sister in law, Ronnie & Darlene Robertson, of Emerson.



Graveside services will be held on Tuesday Nov. 18, 2008 at the Emerson cemetery with the Rev. Doug Harris officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at 10:00 at the cemetery.
