William Jesse Rowles, 85, of Rome passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011, at 11:20 a.m. at his residence following an extended illness. Bill was born in New Kensington, Pennsylvania on May 30, 1926. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving in World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife of forty-eight years, Dorothy �Dotty� Rowles; three sons, Stanley Rowles of Cedartown, Richard Rowles of Rome, and Christopher �Butch� Rowles of Trion; three daughters, Rhonda Pyle of Rome, Christine Burton of Rome, and Pandora Rowles of Buford; seven grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren; his brother, Robert Rowles of Sharpsville, Pennsylvania; and sister Mary Ann Wallace of Ashland, Kentucky. Bill was preceded in death by his son, John Joseph Rowles.
The family will receive friends from 3 � 6 p.m. on Friday, February 4th 2011 at 3 Brandon Ln. SW, Rome, GA 30165. Private interment will follow at a later date at Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.
