Wilma Chambers

Mrs. Wilma Cornwell Chambers, 85, of Rockmart died Sunday, October 10/23/2011 at her residence. She was born in Bartow County, March 12, 1926 and was the daughter of the late Oscar Lee Cornwell and the late Edna Lee Cornwell. Preceding her in death are her parents; her sister, Beatrice Ross; and her brothers, Frank and Joel Cornwell.

Mrs. Chambers was a member of Riverdale Assembly of God and was a housewife.

Survivors include her husband of sixty four years, James Chambers; her son, James Arnold Leachman; her grandchildren, Jimmy and Dana Leachman; her brother-in-law, Roy Chambers; her sister-in-law, Glenda Faye Kirby; her brothers, K.O. Cornwell, L.C. Cornwell and Billy Cornwell; and her sisters, Maggie J. Ethridge and Willie Moore.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 26, 2011 in Zion Hill Cemetery with Reverend James Cannon officiating. Immediate burial will follow.

Serving as pallbearers will be Roy Chambers, Kevin Cornwell, Eddie Etheridge, Daniel Ross, Donnie Wright, Houston Chambers and with Pete Parker as an alternate.

The family will receive friends from 5 � 9 p.m., Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Road, Cartersville.

Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services are in charge of the arrangements for Mrs. Wilma Chambers.
