Mr. Winfred A. "Buddy" Harper, Jr., 73, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at Tranquility House at Kennesaw.
Born in Blue Ridge, Georgia on July 28, 1942, he was the son of the late Winfred Alvin Harper, Sr. and Myrtle Ballew. Mr. Harper retired from Tenneco Oil Comp with 25 years of service. Following his retirement he was owner/operator of Reliable Entertainment. In his spare time he enjoyed traveling, camping, watching football and NASCAR. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Elaine Burdick Harper and a son, Timothy Wade Harper.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Julie and Scott Ferguson of Cartersville; his granddaughter, Courtney Spring of Marietta; his great grandson, Liam Spring of Marietta; along with his siblings, Martha Godfrey of Powder Springs and his brother, Wendell and Kathy Harper of Marietta.
