W.T. �Big Daddy� Thacker, 82, of Cartersville passed away Sunday, August 7, 2011 at his residence. Born July 23, 1929 in Rome he was the son of the late Warren Thacker and the late Lille Vestabeuna Yother Thacker. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Lesslene Shepherd Thacker; his son, Frank Sligh; his daughter, Hazel Underwood; his brothers, Henry Thacker, Marion Thacker, Jessie Thacker, and Lloyd Thacker; his sisters, Clara Thacker Green, and Pearl Thacker Kelly.



Survivors include his special son-in-law, Jackie Underwood; his grandson and his wife, Joey and Jennifer Underwood; great-grandchildren, Sydney Underwood, and Jakob Underwood; his sister, Ruth Thacker Carter; his special friend, Lynelle Holder; and his special niece, Sandra Thacker Springfield, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great nieces.



Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 10, 2011 in the chapel of Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services with the Rev. Kenny Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in the cemetery of the Mountain View Church of God.



Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Springfield, Harold Siniard, Jeffrey Lingerfelt, Jackie Underwood, Joey Underwood, Jakob Underwood. These gentlemen are asked to be at the funeral home at 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday.



The family will receive friends from 6 � 9 p.m. on Tuesday at Parnick Jennings Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 430 Cassville Rd., Cartersville, GA 30120.
